It’s New Music Friday (on Saturday) and I’m thrilled to have new music from The War & Treaty. The husband and wife duo who continue to make incredible music together.
The War and Treaty - Plus One
Plus One, the new album by The War and Treaty, continues to showcase the duo’s soulful blend of gospel, blues, country, and rock influences. Michael and Tanya Trotter’s powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics are at the forefront, with songs exploring themes of love, resilience, and healing. “Love Like Whiskey” kicks off the album with enough soul and gospel touches to get you on your feet. You’ll want to stay on your feet and throw some dancing shoes on later on when “Called You By Your Name” comes on with breakneck speed and a New Orleans style that works so well. Other highlights include “Teardrops In The Rain” and “Lead Me Home”. The War and Treaty’s deep emotional delivery and genre-defying approach make Plus One a standout release, offering a raw and moving musical experience.
