Gregg Allman, Bonnie Raitt, Traffic, and the Blind Boys of Alabama are among the many whose music he’s enhanced over the decades since. Check out the track “Rocket to Nowhere”
- Meg Myers – Great new release from the alt-pop performer who takes influence from Kate Bush and Sinead O’Connor. Check out the track “Breaks My Back”
- McFly – The pop-punk boyband, now in their thirties, is back with a fun, sugary release of tunes. Check out the track “Mad About You”
Today’s featured artist is Chris Stapleton, one of the best singer-songwriters out there today. Stapleton’s latest is a great batch of new songs that relies on his beautiful lyrics next to a country/rock/blues mix. His latest continues his trend in kicking country music in the teeth by combining classic sounds with modern ideas and lyrics. Some great contributions for this album include Benmont Tench and Mike Campbell from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (probably Stapleton’s favorite band of all time).
