It’s New Music Friday and we’re switching it up this year. I’ll feature one album or song that caught my attention this week. This week’s featured artist is Bob Mould and his new single “Here We Go Crazy”.
It’s been almost five years since we’ve had new music from the former Husker Du/Sugar singer/songwriter. The title track off of his self-produced, upcoming album is a wall of fuzz and big guitars with an anthemic chorus with enough melody and muscle to make it great. “On the surface, this is a group of straightforward guitar pop songs,” said Mould in a press statement. “I’m refining my primary sound and style through simplicity, brevity, and clarity.”
